100% Organic, 100% Scottish
Barley is the heart of any whisky and one of the most important ingredients. Nc’nean uses 100% organically-farmed barley from 10 farms across Scotland. These farms do not use any artificial pesticides or fertilisers, resulting in huge biodiversity and better soil and water quality. Nc’nean is located on Scotland’s rugged west coast, where it's harder to grow crops, so has chosen farms along the east coast, from as far north as Elgin in Speyside to Grantshouse in the south near the English border.
About Nc’nean
Founder Annabel Thomas started Nc’nean to change the way the world sees whisky from Scotland, focusing on creating sustainably-produced single malts that exist in harmony with the world. To minimise its impact in terms of carbon footprint, pollution and biodiversity, the distillery is powered by renewable energy, using 100% organically-farmed barley and recycling 99.97% of its waste. Even the bottles are 100% recycled glass. Named after Neachneohain, the queen of spirits in Gaelic legend, Annabel and the team walk their own path, drawing inspiration from the world around them to create bold, creative and flavourful spirits.

Amazingly fragrant and fresh easy to drink with great bottle for use as candle holder after. Best of their offerings as suitable for many tastes whilst limited runs though very good appeal to individual palettes where as this is a whisky for everyone even those not normally whisky drinkers.
-
Light and very pleasant whisky easy to drink and one keep coming back to to restock.
-
Too young. Comes over a little bit harsh and has a mildly unpleasant aftertaste. If it had mellowed a little through aging I can see how it would improve.
-
A lovely drop of whisky. Visited the distillery and had a tasting. A light, smooth whisky.

Just purchased my first bottle of Organic whisky from Waitrose Dorchester..love the whisky ?? but the price is over the top compared to your website ?? which upsets me. Can't see myself buying it from Waitrose again even though my principle is to shop in store.
