Heather Dew was a blended Scotch dating back to the late 19th century, the whisky was bottled in ceramic jugs until 1942 when Possil Pottery went under and stopped providing decanters. In 1986 the brand was taken over by United Distillers and passed onto Diageo in 1997 before the trademark lapsed.
