Founded in 1985 and the owners of Japan’s highest distillery at 800 meters above sea level in the Japanese Alps. The Shinshu distillery was temporarily mothballed from 1992 until 2012 but since then has been up and running again, and as of 2016 the brand added Tsunuki distillery to its portfolio, which was built in the town the brand was started.
