Basil Hayden is a light, peppery, and caramel-sweet Kentucky Straight Bourbon, created in 1992 by sixth-generation Jim Beam master distiller Frederick ‘Booker’ Noe. Noe was inspired by Basil Hayden Sr, a rye farmer from the East Coast, who followed the Maryland tradition of using a higher percentage of rye in his whiskey.
