CartronLiqueurs
A family business since 1882 located in Burgundy's Nuits-Saint-Georges, a region famed for its high-quality soil, perfect for the production of wines, fruits and fruit-based liqueurs. Cartron is credited by the invention of 'Creme de Cassis' then called 'Double Creme de Cassis Carton', double meaning 400 per grams of sugar per litre instead of the usual 200. This now forms the legal minimum sugar content for the 'Creme de Cassis de Bourgogne', which since 2015 has PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) status and considered a part of French national heritage.
