Not all rum comes from the famous Caribbean producing countries, it can be made anywhere that sugar cane grows and it grows well in the Canaries and on Madeira. Ron Aguererums and flavoured rums come from San Cristóbal de La Laguna in the north east of Tenerife. These are rums more for mixing than sipping.
