Busnel, founded in 1820 in the heart of Pays d’Auge, was the first major Calvados distillery. The distillery is still run by 4th generation descendants of the founder, Ernest. Ernest’s son, George, paid great attention to detail, frequently claiming that ‘there is no good Calvados without good apples’, a philosophy still followed at Busnel today.
