Pitu
This is a joint venture of the Cândido Carneiro and Ferrer de Morais families, launched in 1938, in the city of Vitória de Santo Antão. The brand is named after a freshwater prawn in the local Pitú river close to the distillery, the Pitú river was the source of irrigation for the sugar cane plantations in the region.
