The mezcal brand is founded by artist-alchemist duo from Virginia who found a new home in Oxaca, Mexico. Gem represents the heart of the agave (piña) which was cooked by a lightning bolt as the story goes and mezcal was created. They also infuse the spirit with Damiana which is a flowering plant holding mythological, mood-elevating properties.
