Monkey 47Gin

Monkey 47 Gin hails from Germany’s Black Forest (known locally as Schwarzwald). The Black Forest, in the south west of the country, is 100 miles long and 40 miles wide, and is so named because it is so dense that the sun cannot penetrate the forest’s proliferation of pine trees.

How to serve Monkey 47 Gin

The high number of botanicals in Monkey 47 Gin means it lends itself to a wide variety of serves. Try it in a classic Martini: add 60ml of Monkey 47 Gin and 10ml of vermouth to a cocktail shaker, fill with ice and stir for 15 seconds. Strain into a chilled Martini glass and garnish with an olive. For something more adventurous, try a White Lady: shake 60ml of Monkey 47 Gin, 20ml triple sec and 20ml lemon juice in a cocktail shaker without ice, then add ice and shake again before straining into a chilled cocktail glass. 20ml of egg white in the mix will create a fluffier cocktail when shaken.
