Mild

One of the most traditional beer styles, mild is, as its name suggests, at the gentler, lighter end of the spectrum, typically with lower alcohol levels than some of the super-hopped beers found nowadays. Malt's popularity had declined over the past few decades but it is enjoying a resurgence, with variants including dark mild now extremely popular.
