Gin

Although gin is seen as a very British drink, it is now made all over the world, from Argentina to Australia and the Netherlands to New Zealand. WorldGin

Spain, more than many countries, has seen a resurgence in gin drinking. There, ordering a gintonica will bring an outsized balloon glass loaded with ice, gin and tonic – the perfect drink to enjoy outdoors in the sunshine.

Welsh gin

A number of Welsh gins have been launched in recent years, each one with its own story to tell and with its special recipe of botanicals. For example, Dyfi Distillery has released Pollination and Hibernation, two seasonal gins with locally foraged ingredients including bilberries and lingonberries; Dà Mhile distillery uses seaweed from the Cornish coast; while Eccentric has launched its own Cardiff Dry gin with the emphasis on aromatic herbs.
