Midleton Very Rare is a limited yearly release and the pinnacle of the distillery’s bottling. It shows off what the blenders at Irish Distillers are currently loving, with the style changing every year, but always distinctly Midleton. We are fortunate to have found a parcel of releases from across the years, including this 2021 bottling. It is the first created by current master blender Kevin O’Gorman, and it’s packed with fruity character, carefully balanced by coffee and spice notes.

Jameson Crested is one of the top-selling bottles in the Jameson range, especially popular with Irish whiskey fans in the USA, where it’s not normally available. It’s a bit older than regular Jameson with a bigger hit of both fruity pot-still whiskey and sherry-cask-matured spirit in the mix. The result is an elevated take on Jameson, with a richer, rounder and more complex character, run through with both bright fresh fruit and darker fruit cake notes.

We work closely with Irish Distillers to choose fantastic exclusive Irish whiskies, and this limited edition, the first Red Spot bottled for a retailer, may well be the best we’ve found yet. Distilled back in 1991 and matured first for 15 years in bourbon casks before a further 15 years in a single Marsala cask, it is a rare example of a long-aged Irish whiskey. It is a perfectly balanced combination of tropical and dried fruit, interleaved with layers of soft spice. A masterpiece of Irish whiskey-making.

This is the second in a series of mystery Irish malts from legendary Belgian independent bottler The Nectar – we don’t know the distiller or the whiskey's age. However, having tasted it, we have a good idea. It’s packed with the super fruity character that we’d expect from spirit produced back when there were only a couple of distilleries making whiskey in Ireland, and it’s a style that’s chased down by Irish fans around the world. An unmissable whiskey at a fantastic price.
