House of Agave

House of Agave was dreamt up to showcase superlative Mexican spirits to the wider world and demonstrate the wealth of flavour that they offer. From quality Tequila to handcrafted mezcal, these brands are sure to make you fall in love with agave spirits – if you haven’t already.

Del Maguey logo

In 1970 visual artist Ron Cooper travelled the Pan-American Highway in a Volkswagen van with his friends and several surfboards. The road eventually led to Oaxaca, where Cooper tried mezcal for the first time. This initial taste sparked a lifelong fascination, leading him to build relationships with the skilled artisans that craft this unique spirit. He launched Del Maguey in 1995 with the intention of introducing mezcal to the world. The bottler became a platform for sharing the tales of the makers, advocating for their communities, and safeguarding the tradition of mezcal production for future generations.

Codigo

Código Tequila originated in a small distillery in Amatitán, Jalisco, where it was made by a local artisan in accordance with codes and customs – or ‘Los Códigos’ – passed down through generations. The Tequila was initially the preserve of a select few but today, the brand shares this once-secret spirit with the world. Every batch of Código Tequila is made with hand-picked mature agave, cooked in stainless steel ovens, fermented with organic yeast, distilled in handmade stills, and aged in French oak barrels.

Altos Logo

Ex-bartenders Henry Besant and Dre Masso joined forces with Maestro Tequilero Jesús Hernandez to create Tequilas with cocktails in mind. The dream was realised 2,100 metres above sea level at Destilería Colonial de Jalisco, where Hernandez crafts these best-selling Tequilas from seven-to-eight-year-old agaves, grown on volcanic soils in the Los Altos region. The Plata is a deserving addition to your next Margarita and the Reposado and Añejo make for wonderful sun-down sippers.
