A true icon, Martell has been producing some of France’s best-loved Cognacs since its founding by Jean Martell more than three centuries ago, from its accessibly priced VS to the big-hitting L’Or de Jean Martell collection, which blends some of the house’s oldest and rarest eaux-de-vies.
Martell
Cordon Bleu Cognac

This flagship XO was first bottled by Edouard Martell in 1912 and has become both a favourite of Cognac drinkers as well as a reference point for the brand in the years since. Its blend of more than 100 eaux-de-vie contains a significant proportion from the legendary Borderies region of Cognac – a hallmark of Martell’s distinctive flavour profile – and ranges from ten to 25 years old, bringing both elegance and complexity.
Tasting notes
by Mike Gibson, The Whisky Exchange

An elegant nose of walnut and tart red fruit gives way to plum, candied cherry and frangipane on the palate, with a characteristically luscious finish full of Parma violets.
