Tried this one at the Whisky Show. Best bourbon I've ever had. Slight oiliness to the texture and a nice spicy taste. Liquid silk in a bottle, loved it. Would highly recommend.

This is absolutely sensational. Small batch is also incredibly good but single barrel is an absolute gem. Bursting with rich character and super smooth despite it’s proof.

*Real* dusty, dry, and not sweet - like that. refined. Up front cherries, like a cherry coke. got a bit of marzipan. real ripe plums. figs. pepper on account of the rye, but I've drunk pepper-er. caramel and vanilla, hiding back there. barest hint of tobacco and mint on the aftertaste. 1/2 teaspoon of water helps the flavors, but only a little. give it some time. sure is dusty . . . . ~ recommend starting new drinkers off with this one. let them skip right past that 'more affordable' and 'entry level' stuff . . bang for your bourbon dollar! have a good one, all ~

This is an excellent single barrel! The nose is full with sweet woody spice and the mouth feel is thick and smooth. The spicy mash bill really comes through on the finish. You can put this dram up against bottles costing twice the price any day!

For me, the best bourbon I have tasted. It fills the mouth with all the taste of Bourbon. Spicy, sweet and powerfull, perhaps due to the 50% alcool content.

FYI, whiskey labeled as Straight Bourbon, cannot have any coloring or flavoring added by law. One of the best values in single barrel bourbon. A high rye affair, sure to please!

Good - rich, intense, loads of spicy oaky barrel with a sweet but slightly herbaceous finish.

My first bottle was amazing. So I bought another and got ear wax. The difference was a five star bourbon and a 2 star bourbon. Batch variations I suppose

I got the batch LE 49IG. Nice oiliness, with spicy vanilla twist like one should expect. On the other hand, feels very young to me, although it should be at least 8 yo. Adding a drop water helps out to bring some flavors, but overall not value for money. At least my money.

Delicious, heads and shoulders above more pedestrian bourbons like Makers Mark, Woodford, JD Single Barrel, etc.

This drink had been sitting on the shelf of my local off license for quite some time and me being the bourbon drink that I am couldn''t allow it to sit there knowing I had already tried the the small batch version and was a fan of that, so I made the purchase and I was not disappointed, very good bourbon with hints of butterscotch well worth the money and superior to its small batch counterpart

Fabulous - strong, smooth and sweet. Great over ice but even better at room temperature. It''s already made my Christmas wishlist

Let me start by saying I love whiskey. I love ryes, bourbons, scotches, etc... This is by far one of the smoothest and well balanced bourbons I have had. Compared to other higher priced whiskeys, I would definitely choose this one. It is very drinkable, has great flavor, and will not break your wallet.

A stunning bourbon and my favourite for the money equal to my other favourite - Eagle Rare. I think this is a little more special and as good as Gold label Blantons. Very smooth and it defies it's 50% abv rating. Will never be without a bottle!

I love bourbon and out of all the bourbons I've ever tried this is by far my favourite, it is a truly outstanding whiskey. Probably in my opinion so far the best bourbon whisky ever made but I still have many more to try. But would certainly recommend this it is truly excellent.

This bourbon is absolutely outstanding. After my first taste, it was set in stone that this is my favorite whiskey. Pouring it in a sipping glass, adding a little room temperature water, then letting it sit for a few. MAN does this open up. Absolutely stunning!

I have quite a few pricier bourbons in my cabinet, but this is quickly becoming one of my favorite sipping bourbons. The nose is thick caramel with vanilla and nice spice undertones. It is a single barrel, so the taste can vary substantially between bottles, but the general flavors are sweet, rich and well balanced with subtle spice. The first bottle I sampled was heavy with honey notes, the second mostly caramel and vanilla.
