This Penderyn has been matured in bourbon wood before finishing in ex-Madeira casks. Bottled at a slightly lower strength than the standard Penderyn Madeira Wood for even easier drinkability.

Really nice and sweet, similar to Japanese whisky..will recommend to the novice whisky drinker

This was catered for the French market hence why it's subtle and lighter than other bottles. Providing you're expecting this it a splended drink, rich notes of dried fruit and an oak finish. Wonderful!

Very, very light whisky, to much for me. I tried to get in love with this whisky, but it was waste of time. Legend is too young and tasteless. Red Flag and Port wood finish are very good, this one isn''t.

A beautifully nose, of rich fruit and chocolaty notes. On the palate the soft fruitiness and confectionary continues into a surprising burning sensation. A very pleasant but confusing drink.

i was really impressed with this whisky as i had tried one a few years ago and found it lacking in taste. i just got the Legend for my birthday and what a surprise, apples and fudge on the nose and the nose follows through onto the pallate 9/10

My first try of this expression was today, and i was very impressed, nice nose of vanilla, and smooth to taste with an afterthought of oak, very nice indeed.

If anyone visits the distillery I'd also suggest trying the Portwood 41.

I was told that this expression of Penderyn was only sold at the distillery and in France. Good to see the the Whisky Exchange is on the button as ever!

Whisky exchange needs more of this soon. Exquisite nose and mouth feel to it. Lighter than the 46 and more graceful with it.

the best in the range by far, very peachy and well rounded sweetness leading onto a very smooth and soothing satisfaction on the back of the throat.

The Penderyn 41 is one of the best malts i have ever tried. I just came back from the distillery with some more and say that it is far better than the 46 versions and as good as the best Highland ones that i have been drinking for years. Try it and you wont turn back as the flavours are superb.

Quite simply one of the best non-peaty whiskies you can buy. Wales had a long history of whisky making which died out due to the temperance movement in the 1800s, but is now back with this award winning product. They also do a peaty variety and a sherrywood variety, but the original is my favourite and truly holds its own with the very very best. Buy it, try it, and you won't be disappointed.
