    This is a fantastic Scotch whisky … which I have not been able to taste in 30 years. It was a signature of Dunhill's in the U.S. In fact, in the late 1970s / early 1980s, membership in the Dunhill's Humidor Society came with an engraved cigar cutter, a specially hand-made humidor, and a bottle of Dunhill's Speyside. However, as tastes changed, the whisky was no longer imported (then, no longer made), and Dunhill's pivoted from being a tobacconist to a clothier. It should never have done so. I recall many significant evenings with friends enjoying this whisky and a good Churchill Maduro. Alas, friends move, enjoying cigars is now almost a sin, and the whisky was no longer available (until a month ago). I purchased it, and just opened the bottle. The liquor is smooth, but the bite at the back of the throat is full of peat, and is smoky. The color is a dark amber, and the taste completely envelops the tongue. This is a magnificent elixir, that I will hoard until I hear that the Whisky Exchange has found another bottle (or 2).
