Terrific (bottled 2009 I think; half bottle). Very phenolic yet silky-smooth, belying its strength. Recall hints of vanilla/ butterscotch. A change from any significant peatiness and sea-shore notes, quite continental, but with serious style that would give those a major fright (in a good way). Really breathes through your core, at almost 60%, without harshness. Great undiluted, but a dash didn't harm it much either. 3 years later, 50% pricier: 22YO (again half bottle) was unsurprisingly very similar, still 5-star , but a touch darker/ grainier in a way that didn't improve it any for me.. If you find 19YO cask strength from this time, you will be very lucky and delighted if the general style is your thing. If I was ever allowed to throw in an extra half star, once, this may well be my five and a halfer - as good as anything I've had!
