The third annual release of 'normal' Octomore has arrived - unlike the previous bottling, Orpheus, this has not been wine-finished and, at 152ppm, is said to be most heavily-peated Octomore released so far.

I've tasted it against Supernova SN2010. Well it's completely different. Octomore is less medical and there is much less peppery note in the finish but it has a long, dry, sourish (maybe dry white wine) aftertaste.Be aware with the water: the alcohol's sweetness holds back the phenols. With 50-50 water both are like licking the ashtray :)I like 'em both, but for different reason.
