Tasting Notes
Tasting Notes
Tasting Notes by Stuart P
Nose
Dark and enticing, with aromas of stewed prunes and raisins, baked apples and honey, plus cinnamon and nutmeg.
Palate
Heady notes of dried apricots and spicy ginger, along with nutmeg, toasty oak and bitter orange marmalade. Rich and mouthfilling.
Finish
The warming spice and dried fruit linger, giving a pleasant finish.
Comment
A delicious Cognac that is rich and full flavoured, but never overblown, with the dry spices balancing well with the aromatic fruit.
Tasting Note by Alyona
Nose
Dry, chocolate orange nose and a slight rancio on the end, with a distinct drying laundry note underneath.
Palate
Sweet, milk chocolate on the start, subtle vanilla notesaround the edges yet still quite woody, leading into the spicy finish.
Finish
Slowly building ginger spices, dried orange peel and strongrancio notes.
Producer's Note
Colour
Warm golden fall.
Bouquet
Delicate and elegant. The woody fragrances disappear to let the floral bouquet develop at its best: vanilla, hawthorn and wild flowers.
Palate
Long lasting aromas, such as old Port and the famous « Rancio » This « Rancio » is characterised by nuts, walnuts and dried fruits savours melted with dried flowers, such as apricot and orange jam. A well-balanced complex bouquet, due to the distillation with the lees.
