Talisker 2000 Reviews

Managed to pick up a discounted bottle for ?26, but it would have been worth the ?50. This whisky shows fantastic maturity and complexity for 11yo. The nose is sweet with rose Turkish delight, marmalade and creamy smoke, developing strawberry notes with water. The taste has a creamy fruity arrival with developing smoke and spice. The finish has the classic Talisker cracked black pepper kick! Great stuff.
Superb. Quite different to the 10 year old, but that original Talisker is definitely there. Sherry maturation adding slightly bitter orange marmalade fruitiness and chocolate. I''m finding it a little short on the finish though.
After drinking my way through multiple whiskys searching for a blinder, this is the one for me. Beautiful finish that is unlike any I've every tasted before. Totally agree with Kriss, excellent value and the yardstick with which to measure others.
I bought it at the distillery in Sky, and it's has now become my favourite peaty whisky. I believe one would have to spend much more to get anything better than this.
Beautiful. I love Talisker but this is very different from the standard 10 year old. It's like Speyside Talisker with the rounded sherry notes bursting through all over the place but still has enough smoke to keep it interesting. Very special whisky.
What a dram, absolutely beautiful. So much more then the standard ten year old would highly recommend.
