An amazing drink and wonderful 300-year-old family legacy.
Very pleasant, strong but smooth drink.
Czech absinthe is often maligned, usually for being brightly coloured and artificially flavoured, with questionable imagery on the packaging, promoting the somewhat fanciful psychotropic effect of the wormwood. The better quality Czech stuff usually apes the French style, and can be very good, although lacking in its own identity. Sebor Absinth however belongs to a small group of quality Bohemian absinthes made with natural ingredients and in their own style. These tend to be easy on the aniseed, heavy on the wormwood; dry and very bitter. This absinthe has a touch of fennel at first, which dissipates quickly. Dried lime peel and toasted corriander on the finish, with the bitterness of the wormwood lingering on the tongue for quite some time.
