Talisker 25 Year Old Reviews
Tasting Notes by Billy A
Nose: Honeysuckle, beeswax, hints of fruity smoke, pineapple, lychee juice, carbolic soap and baked beans hiding behind.
Palate: Freshly cut boards, tropical fruit syrup, muddy peat, hint of violet, juicy orange, light smoke.
Finish: Anis, light wood and sawdust, floral notes linger.
Comment: Elegant and reminiscent of much older drams. The body teeters on the edge of too woody for my taste, but claws back points with an excellent nose and finish.

Really wonderful stuff! Unlike Vince W, I actually prefer this strength. I love the flavor so much, but the older 25yo is so strong that I can't drink too much without just getting stinking drunk. Thanks for the mellowing it out!
Agreed, this is a nicely balanced one--but very expensive though. You can still get the (better, IMHO) 25yo 2006 (cask strength!) for cheaper than this one on this very same site! Talk about Single Malt inflation!
