Kavalan Classic Single Malt Reviews
Producer's Tasting Notes
Colour: Lively and passionate amber.
Nose: Clean, elegant, floral (pleasant & refreshing fragrance of the butterfly orchid), fruity and seductive. With hints of honey, tropical fruits (mango in particular), pear drop, vanilla, coconuts and suggestions of chocolate.
Palate: A hint of sweet mango juice with that spicy complexity and gentle warmth on a medium, oily and citrus finish.

Very smooth for a NAS whiskey. I like Japanese whisky so this really caught my eye. I would really recommend this.
I've been drinking Japanese whiskies on a regular basis, so when I discovered this Taiwanese single malt I thought I'd give it a try. Very smooth, and on the sweet side making it very easy to sip neat, mixers would kill this whisky stone dead. Lovely flavours, delicate even, and very much in the Japanese style of whisky.
The smoothest whisky ever. The brand is too new in the States yet. Easy to fall in love with it.
Very good for 'on the rocks'. Not something I would have neat, a tad too sharp.
ka va lan- solist: somwher in between with cheap perfume and Jamaica rum-- expensive rubbish- good for mix with coke only
Simple drink straight, with complex deep flavour journey from the nose through to the back of the throat. Enjoy the glass sitting there as the flavours seem to fill an aura around you. Has surprisingly become one of my top favourites. Will be buying every bottle of their range to have at hand, to surprise some of my dramming companions.
With ice Moreish tasting notes spot on .only lasted two days .
For once Jonathan got it right and it does taste as good as his review. Sweet and very moreish :-)
Very interesting, the flavors and palate are more akin to that of a whisky of superior age/quality.
Very surprised and a welcome change
Wasn''t expecting much, but was very suprised by this whisky. Lively fruity flavors with a rich and smooth feel on the palate. Worth buying for an interesting change - and certainly not a novelty whisky.
For once the reviews are right. This whisky tastes as good as they say it does! Quite an achievement considering how young it is.
