Julia Grappa Invecchiata Reviews

Purchased this whilst on holiday in Rome.it is a smooth enjoyable drink
This grappa is better than the clear stuff but I suspect that it has not been aged in oak barrels for very long. It is not as smooth as some of the cuvee antica types which have been aged for up to 5 years. It has a more complex taste than the clear variety but is still a little rough and burning on the throat. Unlike the higher quality kind this benefits from serving chilled. Either serve it in iced grappa glasses or serve it from the fridge or even the freezer. Chilling smooths it out a little. Grappa is still the best digestive tipple.
I really enjoy drinking Julia Grappa and will continue to do so!
