One of the world's best-selling malts, Glenfiddich 12yo's famous triangular bottle is a fixture in practically every bar on the globe. Light and easy-drinking stuff loved by millions.Tasting Notes (1)
Distinctively fresh and fruity with a hint of pear. Beautifully crafted and delicately balanced.
Characteristic sweet, fruity notes. Develops into butterscotch, cream, malt and subtle oak flavours.
A long smooth and mellow finish.

Still a pretty good dram, but the older bottles where better. I had some samples of older versions and they seem far richer in flavour. The current GF tastes watered down, and has an unpleasant bitterness (reminds my of standard Glen Grant) compared to the old ones. Old one is just more of everything.
Having a dram right now...I am about 1/3 into this malt and initially, I was flummoxed. It was sweet and smooth on arrival with a certain silkiness and kind of salty finish. But not remarkable. Then I added just a touch of water and that began to unpack some of the other notes-woody, mossy, still sweet and smooth. This is a malt that seems to change on my palate every time I have it. Is that me or the malt?
Disappointing. The nose is more like a minimum age blended whisky, and it has a sharp, bitter edge in the mouth, with a pronounced alcohol burn in the finish. Definitely not what I'd expect from a 12 year old Speyside single malt, let alone from this distillery. This is not going to be the sipping malt I'd expected, and I'll most likely relegate it to mixers. I shall certainly not buy it again in a hurry.
I was expecting a little bit more. Overall it's still good malt but next time I'll rather buy something else in that price range.
Glenfiddich was my favourite till now not any more I brought three bottles from Asda's and the taste is not the same will never by Glenfiddich again for sure as all the three bottles did not taste good
