Balcones DNA unmistakable and throughout; 4.5 stars (system doesn't allow half stars and I would have to round upward). The sugary spices contain the distillery trademark pancakes, cinnamon, jam, honey, marzipan, and nutty goodness but even more. The figs come through but in a way incomparable to xmas cake flavors of sherried malts, sharper, sweeter, and spicier. Finish has some nice drying like clove and mint. I have a 2016 bottle and not the one shown, but I highly recommend for any fan of this distillery. Texan yum.
