Disappointed by the flavor. This tastes nutty/spicy rather than honey/lemony/grainy. Reminds me more of a Scotch whisky than an Irish. I love Scotch. Just not when I'm reaching for Irish. Couldn't get over that, so I gave the rest of the bottle away. I tried a Tyrconnell after this and have been quite happy with the Tyr. It is smooth for 43%. I'll give it that much.

By far, my favorite Irish Whiskey! I work the floor at a liquor store, and anybody looking for Jameson or any Irish Whiskey, I always recommend this! Powers' has a percentage being at 43.2, it'll surprise you because of how smooth and delicious it is. All of the ingredients combined to make this have an amazing opening and finish, and the scent will welcome you in with open arms! I love Powers' so much that I only open it up on Saturday after getting done with the work week, it's my lil treat! Do yourself a favor and pick up some Powers', you won't regret it!

My favorite, but hard to get in Eastern Connecticut for some reason. Everyone here is Jameson's-conscious, which I put down to better marketing and promotions.

My favourite whiskey by far. Smooth, with a sweetness akin to honey. Most underrated Irish whiskey in my opinion. Beats Jameson and Bush hands down.

Wow this starts with a kick then goes smooth, smooth, smooth. I only drink Irish and Guiness so I know the meaning of smooth, this has it in spades.

One of my favourite whiskeys in this price range. U can not go wrong with Powers. For those with a thicker wallet try the Powers Johns Lane, exceptional whiskey.

For me this is the best value whiskey, great flavour and well worth a try, unless you are looking for a smokey. if you like this then you can go on to redbreast, green spot and powers John lane, which cost more but are all great.

I was concerned when I read that they changed the recipe of my favourite Irish Whiskey, but there was no need,as this new bottling is now even smoother with bags of flavour and a super long finish. If you like the old Powers you will just love this.
