    This whisky is simply fantastic, complex, well-balanced, approachable and mature. Unfortunately I haven’t sampled enough from Glenrothes for comparison but it’s safe to say that if you enjoy really old sherried whisky then this bottle is a definite buy. Nose: rich sherry aroma with fresh floral notes, berries, orange zest, leather, espresso, aromatic oak and slight creaminess. Palate: full bodied with more sherry and darker fruits, figs raisin and underripe plum. Finish: Becoming dry, bitter chocolate, coffee, oak and orange marmalade.
