Producer's Tasting Notes
Sherry influences with apple, blueberry and a hint of menthol.
The palate is peppery with banana, orange, chocolate and a peat smoke edge.

The cask must have been a very active cask as the sherry influence is phe?nom?e?nal. Milk chocolate covered tangerine sweets in a bottle.

The nose was sweet and inviting, the palate was malicious and unforgiving. I loved it.

Please don''t stop with these great Caol Ilas. It''s young and you can feel it so please note that it''s not very complex and has a bit short aftertaste, but the palate is pretty great for one so young. The sherrywood tastes pretty old and soggy/dry, which results in this one tasting like a little bro to the previously released signatory twe 1998 laphroaig 15 and 1984 caol ila 29, with similar, even mix of sherry and peated make influence. A 90/100 type of whisky.
