Was looking forward to trying this for a long time, and finally bought a miniature to taste. Has a pleasant smell, it is smooth to drink but unfortunately the over-riding taste is prune which lingers a little too much on the palate. I'm a bit of a peat freak so this was never going to be a perfect bottle for me, but was hoping it to be a little more drinkable. Shame

A big surprise, a pleasant surprise. For those whisky fans that don't like smokey flavours, but love a rich and smooth taste, this is beautiful. Both my wife and I love it. Think Chivas Regal Extra (also matured in sherry casks) but even smoother and richer! I am no whisky specialist, but I can say I love it, and my wife also enjoys it very much!

Traveling through Europe I bought this as a travel bottle . nothing too fancy, nor rotgut, I wanted something that is an easy sipping after dinner drink. This bottle was perfect, and at 27 euros (at a corner handymart) this is a great deal. The tasting notes suggest spice & raisins, but for me the dominant taste is prunes, sweet but not hot especially, for a 41.3 % . I'm glad that I brought some home.

Very sweet, pleasant enough taste, but not to mine. Good value though.

Ridiculously strong sherry taste. I drink it when I feel like having a sherry but don’t want the overwhelming sweetness of sherry. Good blend though-excellent value for money

Not my dram. I don't discuss the quality of this product, but it tastes like Metaxa brandy to me. I adore whisky and sherry, but this combination just brings out something completely odd. I actually bought it with Macallan aged in oak sherry casks in mind, but this product has nothing to do with it.

A friend of mine told me about a funny whisky he found in a tiny bar. He told me that it's name was Nomad and that it had swiftly become one of his favourites. Seeing as his birthday was up and coming, I knew he needed a bottle for me to try. I should have expected nothing but excellence from Paterson. An absolute sherry bomb, on the nose I am tempted by warm vanilla notes and that ever present sherry. Memories of Christmases past washed over me. The palate is much the same, an explosion of fruity dry sherry on the tongue. Warming and full, this whisky never over powers. It never asks too much of you. It doesn't outstay it's welcome. It comes, it puts on a show, it leaves. Perhaps not an every day dram with it's admittedly simple tune and distinctive taste, this is still a fantastic bottle for the price and I couldn't recommend it highly enough. Do yourself a favour and give her a go. You might just be surprised.

My son gave me a bottle knowing I love the sherry in which the final ageing is done. What a work of art, fine whisky that definitely carries the flavour of that magnificent sherry with the final ageing. Wonderful, do try it.

Absolutely stunning whisky. Bought a bottle because it was on sale. I was quite impressed with it. It is full bodied and very rich. The PX finish provides candied fruit and Christmas pudding to the whisky, making it an ideal social drinking whisky. Easy, uncomplicated and fun to share with friends

Distinct taste. Not what you would expect from a whiskey distilled outside Scotland but worth a try. You may even buy another bottle!

It is a stunning whisky that is blended by the world's best blender! It is full-bodied, rich, fruity, and very very drinkable.
