Lagavulin 1995 Distillers Edition Reviews
Tasting Notes by The Whisky Exchange
Nose: Rich smoky tones: wood and peat smoke. Raisins, prunes and smoky molasses follow.
Palate: Creamy texture, but dark and smoky. Nut-studded Christmas cake with hints of smoky bacon.
Finish: Long, with hints of long-aged rum, barrel-char and dark chocolate.

Bought a bottle of this in 2013. Paid under $100 for it then. Sitting here with my last glass lloming at the empty bottle glad to have had it around for the last 4 or so years. I wanted another bottle...and seeing the price now, it will join the ranks of "whiskeys I have had the pleasure to visit with..." off to the next choice buy to lament about hears from now.
I purchased this bottle of Lagavulin 1995 Distillers Edition for sentimental reasons, my son was born in 1995, my Father, Grandfather and Great grandfather all worked at lagavulin Distillery. As I don't drink I can only comment on the purchase of this bottle. I found the website clear and simple to use, the purchase process seamless and when the product arrived it arrived well packaged and fast. Thank you Whisky Exchange.
Wonderful! A sweetness on the nose almost chocolate! Gives way to a seductive smokey aftertaste ! Wow !
The cognac of all whiskys beautifully smooth and lots of smoke whisky royalty
Rich and full bodied. Sweet dark berries, iodine, seaweed, soft plumes of black smoke.
