This was bought for me by my cousin, who knows nothing about whisky. Glad I did not pay for it, as I would be really disappointed. The thing I can't get past is the nasty undertone on the nose, which I can only liken to the smell of sweaty socks. This is not only an undistinguished blended whisky, ludicrously overpriced, but it is actively unpleasant. I genuinely hope the Lakes Distillery succeeds, but they really need to rethink what they are doing. I once took half a dozen of my bottles of single malt that had only a tiny bit left and mixed them all together, just to see what would happen. The result was inevitably odd, but it was miles better than this stuff!
The worst whisky Ive tasted to date. There's no body behind this, no flavour other then a horrid liquorice taste. For the price it's a real disappointment.
