Kilbeggan Traditional Irish Whiskey Reviews

Tasting Notes

  • Producer's Tasting Notes

    Colour: Rich Gold

Nose: Traces of sweet oloroso with sweet malt that overpowers the clean grain.

Taste: The malt moves freely around the palate picking up sweet honey notes. The grain comes into play a little later to form a smooth middle.

Finish: The dryness persists with some genuine woody oak tones coming through.

One of the finest Irish Whiskeys I've had the pleasure of drinking. Sadly, like Danny Boy whiskey from the Cooley distillery, unable to find anymore.

Very light and slightly floral. Possibly more a summer drink? But very enjoyable

It is one of the smoothest Whiskey's that I have ever had. 5 stars

Couldn't agree more with the Producers Tasting Notes. I'd imagine Kilbeggan would do well in the American market because of the woody finish. I still say Paddy is the Taoiseach of the cheaper whiskeys. SLAINTE.
