Producer's Tasting Notes

• Nose

  A cautious start with soft hints of melon and summer citrus fruit, opening up to reveal firm waxy notes and rich floral aromas; a whole garden of geraniums and roses. Later, warming spices develop into appetising cinnamon and ginger-spiced biscuits.

• Palate

  Gently coating. At first, layers of ripe melon fruit and zesty orange-oil freshness fuse with sultanas and spiced biscuits; then it all becomes much richer with crystallized ginger and ginger biscuits coated in an exquisite chocolate creaminess with hints of vanilla.

• Finish

  Of medium length and beautifully rounded. Rich choux pastry with cooling thick cream; late toasted notes and dry cocoa powder sprinkled on a bitter chocolate tart. Finally, all that richness builds to a gloriously warming conclusion.
