Great product, but definitely not what I was expecting. I was looking for more "spice," but this is very sweet. Flavor profile reminds me of a caramel apple with a hint of vanilla. Overall, very good rum, but just a little too sweet.

Great rum, nice sweet taste you can drink alone, or good for mixed drinks. Brought a bottle with me to a party, and it was gone quick, and everyone was talking about it.

Bumbu has a nice butter rum flavor that I love! I drink this rum with ice or just sipping. Can’t find anything comparable. It’s the best I’ve ever tasted!

Went to a rum tasting event and this was one of 6 rums I tried. Was impressed by very unique taste and how smooth it was over ice. Has become a favorite of mine.

Smooth. Goes down smooth. Second taste as good as the first. Sky high price but worth the expense for rum lovers.

Amazing. I picked this up from a local wine merchant. I'd gone in, looking for a spiced rum, and he mentioned Bumbu. He said it smelled of bananas, and asked if I'd like to try some. As soon as I smelled it, I was hit with a lovely smell of sooced rum and bananas! One sip was all it took for me to buy some! It's a sweet sipping rum, but mixes with cola/lime perfectly! My new favourite rum.

Before I made the hard decision in a rum I've never heard about I decided to contact the company and was honoured to hear back from the vice president. In his words 'it is like no other rum out there – there are lots of great aged rums, but we base our recipe on a 400-year-old drink that is the basis for today’s spiced rums – but we make it incredibly complex and smooth by using fine aged rums.' On that note I made several comparative tastings,as well as trying it with a main meal and it came tops. The nose is like no other, takes me back to chewing hub ba ba(chewing gum from USA). Which company do you know takes the different types of sugercane, from different islands, and does all its own crushing. Their water is naturally filtered by the coral in Barbados. They don't use essence of, but real, spices. Then it's aged for up to fifteen years. Truly worth the purchase.
