Lovely one this...all i taste with addrd water is fudge and toffee..hard to believe it is 58.8%...absolutely gorgeous taste...another triumph by Glengoyne..they are one of my fave distilleries.Toffee & Fudge..Mmmmm??
For me it has a "toffee nose" and lots of fruit in the taste. Superb dram.
Look, I've been drinking whisky a long time and I'm not into all this poncy guava with a hint of pomegranate action. I just know what I like. I like smokey whiskies, I like heavily sherried whiskies, but if I want a pure unfettered malty whisky that's true to its roots then this is the one to have! It's really good. No smoke, no huge sherry, just the main ingredients. Sweet fruity malt. A classic of its type.
A lovely warming dram, with banana in the nose and taste.
