    Have been long time Cognac enjoyer but....BUT recent trip to Barcelona and hey presto. Ok, so Cognac for me is a post 10pm drink. Mellow, slow, meditative. Carlos is more welcoming a little earlier in the evening. Complex, rich, smooth, but not an end of evening thing at all . It's really enjoyable & mixable. Couple of ice cubes and it could be an "all evening" thing, without ever wishing to, or even thinking about rushing it . Definitely worth trying.

    I visited the Osborne Bodega at El Puerto three years ago to sample their sherries and noticed the marketing posters for Carlos I. The following evening I had a glass of this superb brandy at the bar of our hotel. A generous serving in a large, very warm glass and it was just fantastic. I've been a fan ever since and always intend buying a bottle or two at Malaga or Seville airports. Unfortunately Covid has curtailed my Spanish holidays so I'm looking for alternative supplies.

    A superb Spanish brandy. This Brandy looks good in the bottle and better in the glass. It is very smooth, and the sherry flavour really comes through, which comes as a bit of a shock at first. But the more you sip this fine brandy the more you will enjoy it. For the price it is outstanding, in my mind a lot better than Cognacs that cost twenty quid more. Will I buy again? Of course I will, I will even try their other Brandies. Just to compare…
