The whisky itself is one to be favoured for the price for it is sold. Upon first sip, you get these sweet flavours engulfing your palette, then sweet turns into a gentle bitter, whilst still remaining a gorgeous drink. The problem with a lot of whiskies at this price is that if they go from sweet to bitter, they do not have a good transition at all, but this one most certainly does. It brings a warmth to the mouth, as expected, the flavours do not like to stay for a particular long time, but obviously, this is all down to preference whether you like the sweet flavour to linger or not. I would definitely recommend this whisky for the price.

It was a pleasant surprise. Tasty whisky, very good indeed, reminded me a single malt with sherry influence. But for me, my type of scotch is with smoke, so I prefer whisky's like Black, JW Red, Black&white. You should try, one of the tastiest entry level whiskies I've ever tasted.

Don't drink blends that often, but recently tried this. Drinking it neat the first taste is quite pleasant: sweet tones with a slight bitter after taste. If warmed in the hand then more sweet tones come to the fore. I'll certainly be buying more of this, dare I say its better than some of the cheaper malts... I know sacrilege but true

This used to be a good quality value brand but latest bottles purchased are truly appalling and no better than the worst value brand spirt. Will not be purchasing again!

The best "Bang for the Buck" Scotch, this is better than JW Red Label which is rubbish.

Fantastic, half a teaspoon of water, sweet, bitter taste, minty, slight pepper finish, great for a blended whisky

Not too bad as blends go, its got a fair kick to it with a slightly bitter after taste. Personally, for the same ammount of money I'd prefer ballentines but this is pretty good.

As supermarket blends go, this is definitely one of the best. Very warm and full tasting, without the harshness of some of its peers. Doesn't mix as well as Famous Grouse (which is still the king of the basic blends), but it's surprisingly good neat.
