I first tried this several years ago at the Talisker distillery and it became my favorite whisky. It has richness and smokiness that’s well balanced.

I love the "darkness" and smokiness. It was given to me as a gift, but unfortunately it is not readily available

Beautiful. Melt away into the wooded highlands...

If you love the out doors and the smell of a camp fire then this is the Scotch for you its a good sipping scotch due to the intense smoke flavor and the lingering taste/smell afterwards. I don't recommend if you are looking for a clean tasting whiskey but one that you want to drink by the fire or out camping as weird as that sounds as it just has that warm outdoors feeling to it.

I've tried several whiskies from highland, islay, speyside, and Talisker Dark Storm still remains my VERY BEST Single Malt. On the nose it's heavy and intense smoke of bacon with a little touch of sea salt. On the palate, intense, peppery, like chewing a charred barrel. Aftertaste long and also smoky. Not for a gentle whisky fans, but if you want some impressive stuff, go for it. That bottle worth every penny. The overall impression is real Dark Storm on the sea.
