Origami is a red sake made from an ancient variety of rice: Asamurasaki. Rich in umami with lots of red-fruit notes and a hint of smoke, this is an excellent match with Wagashi (Japanese confectionary), dark chocolate and blue cheese.

My grandmother-in-law gifted me this sake during my wedding. Now I can't have enough of it during my formal nights. It tastes somewhat like a combination between sake and a low-alcohol wine, and it is nice to be enjoyed in small quantities continuously for a few hours. Perfect for a light drinker like me.
