24 Year Old TWE Exclusive
- Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Exclusive to The Whisky Exchange, this is a 1992 Glenlossie from independent bottler Signatory. Aged for 24 years in a hogshead, this is big and spicy with notes of liquorice, pepper and citrus fruit. Much of the distillery's production is used for the Haig range of blends, but casks like this show it's a very underrated distillery.

Glenlossie 1992 Reviews
Tasting Notes from Stuart P
Nose: Big rush of aromatic flowers and clean, bright fruit: red berries, apples, pears, then warmer notes of candied orange peel and marshmallow arrive. A hint of woody spice in the background, along with subtle notes of vanilla fudge.
Palate: Very fresh and fruity, with precise, clean flavours of apple and grapefruit. Just a drop of water unleashes more fruit, but tropical this time: melon, guava and pineapple. The spiciness builds quietly in the background, adding depth and complexity with notes of clove, cinnamon and black pepper.
Finish: The clean fruit lasts longest, with subtle notes of toffee apple and cinnamon in the background.
Comment: So, so fruity – this is a clean, refreshing dram that has softened over its quarter-century of maturation but still retains a sharp, fruity edge. A palate-cleanser!
