Named after the size of sacks used to originally import coffee beans from El Salvador and Cameroon, Hundred Fifty Lbs is a cold-brew-coffee liqueur. With excellent balance between bitter and sweet flavours, this can be used instead of sweet vermouth in a Negroni or simply on the rocks.
A very decent tipple; a distinctive coffee flavour and aroma masks the potency of the spirit, top draw.
Just been to a tasting event at Wisky Exchange in Covent Garden. This drink stood out from everything else. If you like coffee this is for you. Brought a bottle for someone else but wonder if it will end up as a Christmas gift to myself (I’m imagining having this smooth very enjoyable drink over ice or add as a topping to vanilla ice cream ...yum yum).
Bought this for my coffee loving house mate as a leaving gift. She loves it! Asked me to send more over to Australia.
I purchased this following reading a review in the FT. They were not wrong!! It is hand tremblingly good. An amazingly smooth liqueur enjoyed on the rocks. Would highly recommend.
Beautifully balanced liqueur, Cold Brew really shines through!
