Customer Rating
This whisky is the first in Bowmore's Vintner's Trilogy, each of which will focus on a different wine finish. This version has been aged in bourbon barrels for 13 years and then finished in manzanilla sherry casks for an additional five years. The process has created notes of salted caramel, spiced orange and ripe blackcurrants, alongside a vein of peat smoke.

Fantastic Bowmore. I don't know what the other person is talking about.... this Bowmore is amazing. Think sauteed orange peels... tossed in smoked brown sugar !!! I bought 6 bottles and 1 is already empty. Time to open another !!!! I highly recommend it with dark chocolate (70% cocoa)

IMHO this is one of the best Bowmore's I've tasted in the last few years and (whisper it) vastly superior to the core 18yo - bags of fruit and perfectly balanced.

Worst Bowmore in a while! Doesn't really work with or without water, or even with hicks. It doesn't taste terrible or anything, it's just really 'closed' and doesn't offer anything special. That Manzanilla finish really isn't working at all... The 18yo Deep & Complex is way more better than this... even the core range 18yo is better than this...
