I normally like my whiskey without an e. I got a bottle of this as mainly to make some cocktails. Obviously I have sampled neat it for QC purposes. It’s quite sweet, lots of caramel, rich and almost unctuous reminds me of an xo zacapa rum. The wood, nuts and leather comes out over ice or with water. Works well in a Dry Manhattan or old fashioned.

The tasting notes are spot on. This has become my go-to bourbon for day-to-day sipping. There are no better Bourbons for this price.

Great Bourbon, very good price, nutty taste but very smooth

Quite dry and dark compared to the cheaper quality bourbons such as Buffalo Trace and Woodford Reserve. Definitely get the notes of nuts and caramel on the nose, with nuts and oak on the palate. It's a good quality bourbon, however, I'd take Eagle Rare 10 Year Old over this most days of the week.
