Product Description

A mystery Orkney from indie bottlers A.D. Rattray, this limited edition was matured for 18 years in ex-bourbon casks for a fresh, slightly spicy whisky full of orchard fruit flavours balanced wonderfully with distinctive coastal notes of brine, and a light wisp of smoke.

Further to below I managed to fix this by blending HP drag leg.The result is devastating. From total crap to one of my most guarded bottles.I don't mind blending but it's a lot of effort(but worth it)

Good nose in the bottle but as soon as you get it in the glass the trouble begins.Nose is god knows what and tastes insipid and waxy(no not good Clynelish waxy).Even tried to revive it with HP12 but I think the casks were so far gone that it's beyond saving.Serves me right for not paying ful amount for HP18.Having said that, cask islay is ace
