From a tiny distillery in Orkney, Scapa is often overlooked in favour of its more famous neighbour Highland Park. This 14yo was quite a shortlived bottling -it was introduced by then new owners Chivas Brothers to replace the old 12yo, but was subsequently superseded by the now-familiar 16 year old standard official bottling.

I have two bottles of this special Scotch hidden in the back of my kitchen cabinet. One bottle will come out and be savored on my 60th birthday, and the other on my 70th birthday. Best I can tell, these are the last two bottles in Texas!

Picked up a bottle a Heathrow. Love it. Not too sweet but just a hint of honey. Smooth and soft on the tongue.

This is the first bottle of Scotch that I bought, and that was 10 yrs ago. I still have a quarter bottle left. I think I paid $40.00 CAD at the time. It was great then and its still great now.

    A real favourite - subtle & sweet flavoured !

I keep two single malts in my flat. One ('phroig) I share with visitors, this I keep to myself or to share with very good friends. An absolute fan of this distillery I find I have to keep a spare bottle around, especially during the winter! Smooth depth, just the right colour, and the best 'wee dram' you'll taste this side of £100.

I?m a Greeny (new) to this wonderful indulgence :) I brought this Scotch as an unknown product to me in 2009 on my way to England. Once back in BC Canada, I opened the Scotch for a snifter, only to find a WOW in my mouth of smooth, silky honey tinged full flavoured golden liquid. I?m not able to buy this in BC. No matter, I?m back in England today hunting this little beauty down and as long as the price stays within my budget, this divine liquid will remain blest.

A pleasant dram with salty tones and sweetness well balanced. Had this on holiday last summer and managed to convinve some of the lads to be more open minded about scotch.

I discovered this fabulous Scotch about two months ago. I find it to be one of the most complex Scotches I have ever had, and I've had a few. It is quite light on the peatiness and the long lasting flavours are wonderful. At $60 Canadian (31 pounds) it is exceptional value.

We bought a bottle of this previously unknown (to us!) Scotch for a 60th birthday party. None of our scotch-drinking friends had previously tried it either, but after just one tasting, they were all fans, and I three friends have gone out and bought a bottle today, the day after the party. It's smooth, with a lot of depth, and it's a real "sleeper" of a scotch - we would have expected it to have cost at least $20 more per bottle than it did.

An exceptionally smooth and most satisfying after-dinner dram, which avoids being unduly unctuous, as are some. Light, caramel and gentle vanilla overtones are bolstered by subtle background peatiness. At 40% it's a perfect balance.
