Customer Rating
Monkey Shoulder is a mix of three different Speyside single malts and is great with mixers or just on its own. Smooth, sweet and very easy to drink.

I love monkey shoulder, on its own with one cube of ice,it is also nice in a tall glass with 3-4 ice cubes, Schweppes lemonade and garnish with orange peel, for a nice refreshing drink. It gets 5 stars for me because of its Diversity. It is my favourite blend.

Bottle looks good in my collcetion but the contents were disappointing. A bit one dimensional. Yep, maybe good for mixing but then it's overpriced for that. Get a Macleod speyside if you want an introduction to that style.

When I first bought this one I was disappointed. Left it for a few months then gave it another go. For mine it's one of the absolute best for its price out there. Perfect straight, need not mix.

This was recommended to me numerous times as the best for the money. I'm really trying to like this whisky, but I'm really not able to detect any complexity to the flavor at all. It's sweet like honey without the character, hint of citrus and very slightly oaky. I'm bored. I added two drops of Laphroaig to give it a personality.

Delicious. Very smooth. A combination of three of the best Speyside malts. Good idea to mix whisky with whisky (or water) but nothing else.

A nice whisky; quite a subtle taste which lacks a little depth but for the price its excellent.

For the price I really have 0 complaints with this whisky. Though it was the very forst dram I tried so I might be a bit biased. However it objectively is a fine whisky. The nose is very orangey, with a bit of oaky zest and a nice caramel hint. The palate goes big on vanilla and caramel as well, with some of that zest still lingering from the nose and the slightest bit of pepper. The finish is short but thats not a big deal to me. All in all a great drink wether you prefer it neat or in a cocktail. You really can't go wrong for $30

An excellent blended Scotch whisky at a low price. Best to drink it neat or with a few drops of water.

Aaron, how did you buy this? It says "blended malt" right on it, which is another term for vatted malt. Blended MALT, not blended Scotch. Also on the label: "Monkey Shoulder is blended in small batches from three of Speyside's finest single malt whiskies..." Not sure how you managed to miss all of that. Leaving a one star review because you're not bright enough to know what you're drinking doesn't paint you in a very good light.

Excellent scotch for the money. I tend to drink neat with a splash of seltzer. Drives me crazy when other reviewers slam it because it doesn’t taste like a bourbon or Irish whiskey they’re comparing it to.

Very nice drink. Extremely drinkable and enjoyable. Best on its own.

I don't like this because i don't like vatted malts. A blended Scotch whiskey should be a blend of malt and grain whiskey. This is not that. It's malts only. And if you love scotch blends like me, you won't like this.

Very light and friendly whisky. Good entry level for scotch or whisky in general. Great for the price.
