Monkey Shoulder is a mix of three different Speyside single malts and is great with mixers or just on its own. Smooth, sweet and very easy to drink.

Bottle has a distinct s’mores pop tart lifting waff. Sort of peppery lemon webby finish. The glass ring is ever so slowly descending. Flappers are at minimum which you have to appreciate. Would recommend in this price range for sure!

This is nice and smooth, easy drinking but enough flavour to make it interesting. Something you could easily sip all tonight alone or with a group of friends. Very approachable. Vanilla, orange, then oak and some spice. I see why this is very well liked. For those who don’t like intense smokey scotch’s this will likely be a good place come.

Tried this over Thanksgiving and am heading to the store! It is a beautiful sipping whiskey, it is not a complex Scotch.

Superbly smooth 'til the last drop! I always drink it neat.

I seem to be in the minority here, but I just don't like Monkey Shoulder very much. It has neither smoothness nor complexity. It's not bad, but it's completely unremarkable. I would rather buy a high-rye bourbon and at least enjoy some charred oak character.

Read about this online and spotted a bottle on the shelf at Meijer. I almost always go single malt, but this blend is nice. Nice finish to sip on the rocks, and the price is compelling to my creaky, dusty wallet. Cool bottle and name!

Fantastic sipping scotch. For a blend, this is not just a mixer scotch to be added to soda water or ice. The creamy body hits the palette before you ever put glass to your lips. For the price, it is a wonderful dram to nurse.

Still one of my favorites. Smooth taste and a long aftertaste. Got a few bottles of batch 27, as it's difficult to get now and look forward to open the next. Excellent blend.

Initial impressions were 'watery' compared to some others I'm used to but, on reflection, what I think I meant to say is that it's just more gentle. It's not an overwhelming drink, and has a creamy soft mouthfeel and a fairly short finish, with a nice, but not harsh, burn. It wouldn't be a whisky I'd spend a couple of hours lingering over, but for an everyday easy sipping drink it's fine. I picked up a bottle on offer in my local Tesco and at the price it's hard to beat. Monkey Shoulder is one I'm going to keep on hand for myself, as an everyday tipple and for my visitors, so I can hold on to my better stuff.

Smooth and easy to drink. Dont expect anything complex, an everyday choice at the right price.

Very smooth!! I went for single malt and the shop keeper suggested this. This blend is really inpressive from the first sip to the last drop.
