Monkey Shoulder is a mix of three different Speyside single malts and is great with mixers or just on its own. Smooth, sweet and very easy to drink.

Ok for blended whisky. Best used for mixing. Not a good sipping straight whisky--so many better for that purpose. A higher end blended for sure but ....don't confuse this with 20 other smooth, wonderfully balanced whiskies that can be had at a similar price or perhaps a few dollars more. Not a repeat buyer at this point (1/4 the way through the bottle)

A very nice whisky, but really only one note - though it's a very nice note.

Absolutely divine for the price point. I'm a huge fan of the Balvenie 15yr, and for 1/3 of the price I will go to this 8/10 before the Balvenie. It's heaven on the tongue, long honey malty notes with a smooth finish that you expect from a fine Speyside and more than one that delivers. I pick up two every time I pass a store that has them.

Absolutely gorgeous. Full whiskey taste with no after bite. Perfect for those who don’t drink whisky often. And same to those that do!!

Good enough to sip on its own, also makes for a nice cocktail if done the right way. Good for the price point as well, I prefer this to most blended scotch.

Rich, warm, rounded, slightly on the sweeter side and utterly quaffable.

My first whisky I bought and tried and it made me fall in love with it. Extremely smooth and lovingly sweet. If you wish to try whisky for the first buy, I would highly recommend this bottle.

It's light and smooth. Needs a bit of depth. Excellent value for money though.

Good for couple of purchases, not that great as a Single Malt. I bought this 4 - 5 times, liked the taste... but moved to Single Malts as price is almost same.

I love monkey shoulder, on its own with one cube of ice,it is also nice in a tall glass with 3-4 ice cubes, Schweppes lemonade and garnish with orange peel, for a nice refreshing drink. It gets 5 stars for me because of its Diversity. It is my favourite blend.

Bottle looks good in my collcetion but the contents were disappointing. A bit one dimensional. Yep, maybe good for mixing but then it's overpriced for that. Get a Macleod speyside if you want an introduction to that style.

When I first bought this one I was disappointed. Left it for a few months then gave it another go. For mine it's one of the absolute best for its price out there. Perfect straight, need not mix.

This was recommended to me numerous times as the best for the money. I'm really trying to like this whisky, but I'm really not able to detect any complexity to the flavor at all. It's sweet like honey without the character, hint of citrus and very slightly oaky. I'm bored. I added two drops of Laphroaig to give it a personality.

Delicious. Very smooth. A combination of three of the best Speyside malts. Good idea to mix whisky with whisky (or water) but nothing else.
