Product Description

A limited-edition 1950 Macallan Exceptional Single Cask, matured in a first-fill American oak sherry butt for 67 years before being bottled in October 2018. After almost seven decades maturing this whisky has an elegant, rich character with aromas of polished oak, delicate peaches and vanilla. The palate is intensely oaky, with rich wood spices, orange zest, root ginger and hints of something peaty.

    This is an excellent dram. Very woody with good fruity overtones. It's a bit smokier than the flavor profile above suggests. This is not a bad thing, just something worth noting. It's a strong whisky at 53% alcohol. Some may enjoy it more with a few drops of water but be careful not to over dilute it. Worth every penny and makes a wonderful addition to my growing collection.
